WOMEN, BUSINESS AND THE LAW. WORLD BANK GROUP'S REPORT 2026 IS RELEASED
The World Bank Group’s Women, Business and the Law (WBL) is a global benchmarking project that measures how laws, regulations, and policies shape women’s economic opportunities and private sector development across 190 economies. WBL data and analysis guide countries in identifying opportunities for reforms that unlock women’s economic potential and drive job creation and economic growth.
Women, Business and the Law 2026 shows how legal and policy frameworks shape women’s economic opportunities in 190 economies and how removing barriers to their participation in the economy can boost jobs, productivity, and inclusive growth.

NEW JOURNALS ACCEPTED IN WEB OF SCIENCE (ESCI)
Clarivate regularly updates the Web of Science Core Collection through its monthly Journal List updates. Clarivate has released its latest update on March 16, 2026, for the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection.Science In this update, several new journals are added, some journals are removed, and a few have changed their titles.
26 Journals have passed editorial evaluation and have been added to the Web of Science Core Collection
Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a multidisciplinary journal edition in the Web of Science Core Collection that helps uncover regionally significant research findings with global relevance.

SCOPUS ADDED NEW 54 JOURNALS AND DISCONTINUED 7 JOURNALS IN LATEST MARCH 2026.
Scopus updates its list of sources regularly to include top, reviewed journals from many subjects. This March, Scopus added 54 new research journals. However, to keep high quality standards, Scopus removed 7 journals from its list
Scopus is owned by Elsevier B.V., and Elsevier is solely responsible for the content selection policy of Scopus. To decide to accept or reject a title for Scopus, Elsevier follows the independent advice from the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board (CSAB). However, Elsevier, in consultation with the CSAB, reserves the right to change decisions, adjust the selection criteria, or re-evaluate titles accepted for Scopus without prior notice.

ADB’S 59th ANNUAL MEETING IN SAMARKAND, 3-6 MAY, 2026.
Uzbekistan will host the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) 59th Annual Meeting on 3 to 6 May 2026. The meeting will be held in the historic city of Samarkand, one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the world. This is the second time that Uzbekistan will host the ADB Annual Meeting, following the successful 43rd Annual Meeting in Tashkent in 2010.
The Annual Meeting is a key opportunity for Governors from ADB’s 69 members to consider development issues and challenges facing Asia and the Pacific. Several thousand participants, including finance ministers, central bank governors, senior government officials, members of the private sector, representatives of international organizations, civil society, and the media regularly join the meeting.
ADB is one of Uzbekistan’s largest development partners, having committed over $5.41 billion in financing in the last 5 years. ADB works closely with the Government of Uzbekistan and other stakeholders to facilitate the country’s transition to a green economy, support private sector development and competitiveness, and promote investments in human capital.

eIFL AND OXFORD UNIVERSITY PRESS RENEW AGREEMENT
Electronic Information for Libraries (eIFL) has renewed an agreement with Oxford University Press (OUP) for a further year until 31 December 2026. The agreement includes free and discounted access to journals and online products and waived article processing charges (APCs) when publishing in fully open access (Gold) journals.
According this agreement , authors from Uzbekistan and other listed countries were waived APCs for publishing research works in any of OUP journals. Click here to introduce with OUP content.
Electronic Information for Libraries (EIFL) is an organization that works with libraries worldwide to enable access to digital information for people in developing and transition countries.

SCOPUS REMOVED 27 AND ADDED 7 NEW JOURNALS IN JANUARY 2026.
Scopus regularly updates its source list to include high-quality, peer-reviewed journals from across disciplines. Scopus has recently released its latest February update. In this update, Scopus has accepted 27 new research journals for inclusion in its index list. Moreover, Scopus has also removed 7 journals from its List to maintain quality standards in its indexed database. Accepted journals include Springer, Elsevier, Wiley, and other publishers.

CLARIVATE REMOVED JOURNALS FROM WEB OF SCIENCE CORE COLLECTION. FEBRUARY 2026.
Clarivate routinely refines the Web of Science Core Collection via its monthly Journal List revisions. On February 16, 2026, Clarivate promulgated its most recent iteration of the Web of Science (WoS) Core Collection. This update encompasses the accession of novel journals, the removal of others, and the renaming of a select few.

GLOBAL INFORMATION COMPANY LEXIS NEXIS LAUNCHED ACCESS TO WIUT
An American data analytics company Lexis Nexis is glad to launch 2026 year subscription for its legal database for WIUT.
LexisNexis global content collection contains 138 billion documents and records with 2.2 million new legal documents added daily, includes more than 307 million court dockets and documents, over 168 million patent documents, 4.75 million State Trial Orders, and 1.5 million jury verdict and settlement documents.
