Citations are considered the most widely used metric to assess the impact (or lack of impact) of a journal article. Citation metrics are based on the number of times a work is cited. So, the more citations a work has, potentially the more significant the impact of the research.

Scopus is an abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed books and online sources. It also contains tools for tracking, analysing, and visualising research.

Google Scholar is an indispensable resource for students, researchers, and faculty, providing a simple and comprehensive way to search for academic materials.
